So, the Mighty Plus is here, and we’re going to find out if it’s any good. With a host of new features and an upgraded battery, should we be expecting big things? Or should we be looking elsewhere for our next vaporiser? Let’s take a closer look as I unbox this latest offering from Storz & Bickel, makers of the Mighty Plus.
On opening the box, I’m greeted by a familiar sight. It looks like Storz & Bickel have kept most of their design features in line with the Mighty, which came out in 2014. This could spell good news for existing users, but what about new ones? Let’s find out.
The contents can be seen above, and the main pieces consist of the Mighty Plus itself and a few accessories. These include:

The chamber itself is pretty much identical to that of the original, a stainless steel tube to pack loosely with finely ground herb. I find roughly 0.25g is sufficient for a good session and often less if I’m not going to be smoking for a while. The herb is packed in by gently pushing the ground up material down and back up against the sides of the chamber.

4 Things I LOVE About the Mighty Plus
? The Mighty Plus is Powerful
The Storz & Bickel provides a powerful dry herb vaping experience. The Mighty Plus has a fantastic vapour production, and the taste is exceptional. I’ve found that it does take a few draws to get going, but once warmed up, it provides a smooth, full-flavoured vapour that’s very satisfying.
The taste is definitely improved over the older version, and I think they’ve made an excellent choice in moving to the on-demand heat boost option. The Mighty Plus provides a definite improvement in vapor quality, and I think it’s more than worth the upgrade.
The improved mouthpiece is now equipped with an internal cooling unit that helps to keep vapor cool even when you’re pushing it out on the higher heat setting. It’s pretty effective during long single or group vaping sessions.
? The Hybrid Heater is great
Hybrid heating goes with the power of the Mighty Plus. It takes the best features of convection and conduction heating, blending them to get great results. I do like that it has a hybrid heating system. This definitely helps to produce a tastier, more satisfying session. Also, the temperature setting controls were upgraded. There’s no song and dance to change the intensity. Just press the power button three times in a row, and it goes up 15 degrees.
? The Battery Life is much improved!
The Mighty Plus has had some significant upgrades in power and features, making it worthy of this new version of the title. The additional battery life is a big bonus over the original Mighty and will ensure that your vaping experience is not interrupted. I’ve been using this for a couple of weeks and have been really pleased with the battery life. In fact, I have yet to run out after a session. The Mighty Plus has 90-minute battery life, which is the equivalent of eight to twelve full bowl packs, depending on how fast you can clear each one.
? The Mighty Plus is built to last
Although I was concerned at first because of the plastic materials, I have not found any issues or problems with the quality of this vaporizer after extensive use. It’s made from high-quality plastic that moulds in all the right places, making it easy to use and clean.
Three things the Mighty Plus could do better
? The Mighty Plus is still quite hefty!
The quality is excellent, and the hits are perfect. Holding the device is a challenge and using it discreetly is impossible. A downside of the newest Storz & Bickel device is that it’s more significant than the original.
To be more specific, the Mighty Plus doesn’t fit your hand like a glove, as other vaporisers do. It’s more of a challenge to hold on to, and if you drop it, you might break it. At the same time, I’ve had the Mighty original for years, and it’s been dropped more times than I can count, and it’s still working. I’m sure the newer, more extensive version would be able to handle a few drops, too.
? The Mighty Plus still has no smartphone app
Okay, I’ve gotten a bit used to tracking my vaping through the app with other brands. It’s nice to know the right temperature for different strains. Terpene profiles vary, and your vape temperature needs to change with each natural compound blend.
Nonetheless, I know if it did have the connectivity for a smartphone, the battery life would take a hit. So, it evens out because it’s nice having a device I don’t have to worry about charging all the time.
? The Mighty Plus doesn’t handle concentrates too well
The Mighty Plus has a setting for concentrates. However, it doesn’t heat them enough to get the best out of them. You would probably be better off with a different vaporizer for this purpose.
The Mighty Plus is a quality product from Storz & Bickel that has been designed for those who want more power from their device. It gives an immensely satisfying vaping experience and is a worthy upgrade from its older brother. This dry herb Vaporizer has been upgraded in all the areas needed to make it a viable choice as you’re personal vaporizer. I don’t think there’s any doubt about whether or not it deserves the name Mighty Plus. Add the latest device from Storz & Bickel to this year’s Christmas list and treat yourself.
