X Max V2 Pro Vaporizer

The X Max V2 Pro vaporizer is an often overlooked choice when consumers are looking for a new vaporizer. Like the Atmos vaporizer, as reviewed by The THC Times, it’s a mid-range vaporizer that’s perfect for both concentrates and flower. This is a minimalistic vaporizer that only has the essentials. Where it shines though is it does the essentials well.

Your Outdoors Companion

Ok so the battery size is not massive, but it’s also not tiny. The X Max V2 Pro comes with a removable 18650 battery made by Samsung. This translates to a capacity of 2600 mAh, larger than the Atmos Vicod 5G at 2200 mAh, but smaller than the Pax 3 at 3500 mAh.

Unlike the Atmos or Pax, however, these batteries are completely removable so you can swap them out as required. This version of the battery is very popular, so due to this, the price for spares is low. You can buy two spare batteries for around $20. Bring a power bank with you on your hikes or camping trips too and your batteries could remain charged for weeks.

It’s all well and good to try to keep your vape charged at all times, but when you forget (like we all do) having the option to swap out the battery is incredibly convenient.

Comfortable Mouthpiece

The silicone mouthpiece on the X Max V2 Pro feels like it’s meant to be a mouthpiece. This is a personal preference, but I’ve always felt that flat mouthpieces are just weird to use. The mouthpiece is intuitive and comfortable, all that you need from a mouthpiece.

This feature shouldn’t be a decider in an ideal world, however, after trying several flat mouthpiece vapes it is for me.

Versatility

A lot of vapes coming out these days can be used with both concentrates and flower. The X Max V2 Pro is no different in this regard. The difference here is that you can have both options and not break the bank. The X Max works well with both options, providing high-quality vapour from the ceramic heating chamber. The even heating gives you flavoursome hits, without the bad after taste cheaper vapes can have.

Although it’s quite long at 16.5cm (6.5”), the small diameter means it still fits easily into your bag or pockets (depending on how deep they are). The long and slender profile makes it easily portable, so you won’t feel like you’re carrying around a brick in your pocket.

X Max V2 Pro Downsides

If you want a cheap vaporizer that still has all the necessary features, you’ll need to compromise elsewhere. Heating up is the first compromise. Depending on your temperature setting, the X Max can take anywhere from 45 to 75 seconds to be ready to go. This is up to 5 times as long as the Pax 3. Continued use can also mean that the vaporizer itself starts to heat up too much. It can get quite hot to touch, so taking regular breaks may be required. This isn’t an uncommon problem with vaporizers, however. The vape does have an auto-shutoff time after 5 minutes of not being used, which definitely helps to keep the vape cooler between uses.

The second compromise isn’t really a compromise as such, but we’re listing it as this can be a big deal for some people. It only comes with a year warranty, which is somewhat normal amongst the cheaper vaporizers, but far less than others.

Is it a good buy?

If you’re looking for a top of the line vape that offers all the bells and whistles, then the X Max V2 Pro is probably not for you.

If you’re after a no-frills, cheap and easy to use vaporizer then it’s probably a great choice. Bonus points for if you’re a hiking and camping fan, as the removable batteries make it the perfect fit.
